Peter Menzies

A cultural executive, writer and occasional consultant, Peter Menzies has 40 years of experience within the media, communications and arts industries.
While at the CRTC, Menzies was vice chair of Telecommunications following a term as regional commissioner for Alberta & the Northwest Territories, having first dipped his toe into regulatory work as a part time Commissioner.
His first career was in newspapers where he took his initial job as a summer reporter at the Cowichan News on Vancouver Island and left his final job as publisher of the Calgary Herald. During his tenure at the latter he won, among others, a National Newspaper Award. Today, he is Director of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, western Canada’s oldest natural history and First Nations museum.
